Management of solid waste is a primary responsibility of the urban local bodies. With the rapid growth of population, The Solid Waste Management has become one of the major challenges of the urban planner in the States.

Realizing the need for proper and scientific management of solid waste, NDITA is doing its best in this regard. With a view to having a smart & cleaner out look in Sec – V, system of 'Door to Door Collection' of garbage has been introduced on & from 5th June, 2009 to commemorate the 'World Environment Day'. With this system everyday garbage, refusal etc is being collected from different building / IT hubs / industrial complexes etc and it is put in an earmarked place for a short period of time & from that point disposal of the garbage is done to our Solid Wastes Disposal ground at Moller Bheri within a few hours Sweeping of the road is done everyday to keep Sec-V clean.

It has been decided by the Authority that open vats will be demolished step by step shortly with a view to having a better and beautiful Sec- V.
NDITA is looking forward for a smart, beautiful and handsome IT sector with best wishes and whole hearted co-operation from all corners.

At the same time Solid Wastes like garden refusal, branches of trees, rubbish, thermocol etc are disposed off in different vats (40 Nos.) and are also being collected & put to Solid Wastes Disposal ground, though this system will be discontinued very soon and open vats will be dismantled.
